2015 Jeep Renegade vs. 2015 Kia Soul

Estevan and Indian Head drivers rarely compare the 2015 Kia Soul to the 2015 Jeep Renegade for long. Offering more power, superior performance, exclusive features, and a roomier interior, it’s no surprise that the 2015 Jeep Renegade continues to come out on top.

Performance

As a Jeep, the 2015 Renegade was expected to dominate the competition when it came to backcountry capability – and dominate it does. That starts with plenty of power beneath the hood. Estevan and Indian Head drivers will be able to choose between either a standard 160 horsepower 1.4L MultiAir I-4 Turbo or a 180 horsepower 2.4L Tigershark MultiAir I-4 for two levels of phenomenal performance. The 2015 Kia Soul offers only 130 horsepower from the standard 1.6L GDI or 164 horsepower from the 2.0L GDI.

You’ll also be able to select from two 4×4 systems to the Soul’s one – either Jeep Active Drive or Jeep Active Drive Low with 20:1 crawl ratio. Each one comes with a Class-Exclusive rear-axle disconnect and a Selec-Terrain system for solid traction across the roughest backcountry.

Space

The 2015 Jeep Renegade is the first crossover vehicle to truly excel equally while tearing through the great outdoors or cruising the city throughout the working week. This is partly down to the generous amount of interior space, which accommodates plenty of cargo and delivers enough room for the whole family.

For example, you’ll enjoy Best-in-Class head room measurements of 41.1 inches in the front and 40.5 inches in the rear – guaranteeing a superior level of comfort to the 2015 Kia Soul’s 39.6 and 39.5. Of course, you’ll still be able to carry plenty, with a Best-in-Class rear cargo capacity of up to 1,438L to the Kia Soul’s 1,402L. There’s even a fold-forward front passenger seat and either a 60/40 split-folding rear seat or available 40/20/40-split rear seat with cargo pass-through feature – so you can stow longer cargo with ease.

Features

The 2015 Jeep Renegade doesn’t just provide plenty of room for the whole family to spread out, it also ensures that your ride is well-fitted across all models. Standard with the Renegade but not with the 2015 Kia Soul, you will find:

  • Remote Keyless Entry: Allows you to open the car from afar, for added convenience while taking passengers.
  • Halogen Headlamps: Fitted to ensure enhanced visibility across all conditions.
  • Daytime Running Lights: Provides low-level lighting during the day which has been proven to help prevent collisions.

Indian Head and Estevan drivers will also be able to personalize their ride with several available features which cannot be added to the Soul, such as the Class-Exclusive My Sky open air roof system. Either manually removable panels or a power tilt/slide dual panel roof allow you to open up your drive to the sun or stars above.
