A model that says it can handle the roughest of terrains needs a powertrain to back up that kind of talk, and the 2017 Ram Power Wagon is said to definitely have that. Coming standard with a 6.4L HEMI® engine that can deliver up to a Best-in-Class 410 hp and 429 lb-ft (for gas-powered trucks), the Power Wagon is every bit the extraordinary. In addition to power that will take Indian Head and Melville drivers anywhere, the 2017 Ram Power Wagon is equipped with an electronically disconnecting sway bar and electronically lockable front and rear axles that further allow it to tackle rocky and wet terrain with ease. You’ll also have the added functionality of Hill Descent Control which helps control your speed on steep declines.
Each 2017 Ram 2500 Power Wagon comes with a highly capable Warn® winch that allows you to pull up to an incredible 5,443 kilograms. The durable electric wench system has been helping Power Wagon drivers bail out many other vehicles from sticky situations for years, so it’s a very helpful feature to have on your truck. In addition to this functionality at the front of your truck, you’ll also have tow hooks in the truck bed to secure a large payload, and you’ll be able to tow up to 4,549 kilograms from behind.
The exterior of the Power Wagon has been given a fresh new look that really make it stand out in crowd. For starters, you’ll notice Black powder-coated bumpers that frame out its striking shape. The bumpers also draw your attention to the 43-centimeter aluminum eight-pocket wheels that come with 83-centimeter Goodyear All-Terrain tires. You’ll also be drawn in by the bold badging that clearly identifies the truck as the Ram Power Wagon as well as the subtle pin stripes that give it that touch of finesse. The tailgate is probably the most in-your-face statement with large embossed lettering. Another unique exterior feature is aggressively unique Ram-centric grille design and the exclusive Power Wagon hood decal. You’ll also find that Bilstein® monotube shocks and multiple skid plates lie hidden beneath this daring exterior.
To match the commanding exterior, the interior was also carefully planned out and designed with meticulous detail so as to wow each Indian Head and Melville driver. Two interior designs will be available including:
- All-Black: As the name implies the interior of this trim is all black with leather seats. The Power Wagon logo is stitched on the front seats for loud statement.
- “Tire-Tread”: These embossed grey seats look even more rugged than the exterior and they also have the Power Wagon logo stitched on the front seats.
Drivers will be able to see what’s going on with their truck with the large gauge cluster that has a revised Driver Information Display and a custom splash screen.
It’s likely that the 2017 Ram 2500 Power Wagon will be equipped with state-of-the-art technology like its sibling the Ram 1500. Features like the Uconnect 8.4 Multimedia centre and a media hub will likely come standard on the Power Wagon. Additionally, it may have available features including:
- Park-Sense® Front and Rear Park Assist System: This unique feature has 6 sensors up front and 4 in the rear to detect obstacles in your path
- ParkView® Rear Back-Up Camera: See what’s behind you so you can confidently reverse in tight places.
- Alpine Audio System: This available system comes with 10 speakers, a dual voice coil subwoofer, 7.1 surround sound amplifier, and 506 watts of power.
